A TRIBUTE TO CEDAR.
Four years ago, i still vividly remember how i first set foot into the secondary school of my choice - by the outlook of the very prominent and distinctive school uniform. the blue blouse and grey skirt uniform which caught my attention greatly attracted me to it. Then, still a young kid and newbie in secondary school life, i was totally unfamiliar to this strange new world. Adolescents of my age are the ones at the stage where they seek adventure in everything they do. it is the period of time when we experiment with new stuffs and encounter many problems which creates the many obstacles in our life. this is where we would begin a new but complicated chapter of our life, where we meet and forge new friendship bonds, apart from those in primary school.
One day, everyone will or would already have experienced receiving education at a secondary school.With a disappointing and not so good PSLE aggregate of only 242 points, i entered into the school of my dreams.First day of school, proved to be much more than just a first day of school. From just four core subjects in primary school, the number was increased to a whopping 9 core subjects. Theload of the new textbooks was not the most disturbing problem, my curiosity was. immediately when i got home that day, i began flipping through all the textbooks, though i may not have understood everything in there then, but now. certainly or not. my teachers during these fouryears have done all they could to spread and share their knowledge with us.
Through these four years, all three hundred and sixty plus of us would have experienced and gone through thick and thin together. In secondary one, most of us secondary ones then performed and took part in the Singapore Youth Festival as part of the flashcard display contingent. In secondary two, some six hundred of us cedarians ranging from secondary one to secondary three students danced in the National Day Parade 2003. Despite the SARS outbreak in 2003, we managed to put up an impressive performance together. and together we united as one.End of the year was a heart wrenching process as all of us might be separated into different classes into different combinations. tough it has been but all of us would have to separate one day or another.at this point of time, my secondary one and two classes taught all of us unity. we were the only class who achieved the BEST JOGGING CLASS AWARD for consecutively 8 times? nobody else ever received the award except our class in our level.the best of all was the time when we won the BEST CLASS AWARD.deserving we are, i must say. we fought hard and worked hard together just for that very moment. the very proudmoment whereby our efforts paid off. there after, i was streamed and posted into 3c 2004. the combination ofpure physics pure chemistry pure geography and history elective. yet another stage of secondary school life.after two years of bonding with my secondary one and two classmates, reality cruelly separated me and them again,to place me into a place where i meet new friends again. a new environment. secondary three seemed to be a year to test our maturity. the demise of a beloved level mate. indeed it was a pity yet nobody will ever understand.of course, in secondary three, we also went through outdoor adventure camp, where further bonding between meand my classmates was done. through all the pain and hardships, we managed to survive through and become even tougher and stronger. where we no longer are weak and frail. where we grow up. still, there are manycliques and groups of divided friendship.ndp in secondary three, everything changed. we got to know eachand everyone better. now we have this thing in us. the 4c spirit will never die. never ever.
in these four years, i have also dedicated my service to girl guides. my cca for four years. this is the place,where i went through most hardships. the camps, the lessons learnt, the process of sisterhood is something unforgettable. i learnt about perseverance, and many life long lessons which will accompany me throughout my entire life. to learn how to be a leader, to lead and serve. to strive. is not an easy task. definitely. to need to be a role model to your juniors is absolutely tiring, and i am sorry to everyone whom i had disappointfor i was never able to be a role model for the juniors to look up to. conflicts and quarrels, in a way or another, changed our life and enabled us to grow up. to think maturely. as the saying goes, 'there are no permanent friends or enemies, but permanent interests'.
of course during these four years,i have gained and lost many friends. but truly speaking, i would have gainedmore friends than i ever deserved. it is because of these people, i became unappreciative of the people aroundme. losing friends became a common sight. yet till now, i still have not woken up from all these rubbish. i still sinked into friendship problems.but not once, do i regret. irritating i might be. disgusting i might be. serve me right when i lose my friends? it doesnt matter. im sorry to everybody who had landed into this state before.im sorry for being unappreciative. yet,i would like to thank all those who had stood by me, to listen to my woes,to share my joy with me. when i am angry you people will be there to calm me down, when i am happy you people will be there to smile and cheer with me, when i am sad you people will be there to lend a listening ear, patientlynot once complaining, when i get into trouble you people will be there to share my load, to save me and provide solutions, to be my advisor!
apart from all these, the most important people in this part of the life is none other than the teachers!thank you all of you for being so patient with us. for being able to tolerate all my nonsense. for not getting annoyed over my noisyness and irritatingness. for not complaining once. even when my results are bad, thank you for not givingup hope on me. thank you for being there for us. thank you for worrying for us more than we worry for ourselves.as we are the stupidest batch with the lowest entry t-score, of course we would want to strive hard to achive results that are up to standard to that of the band one school.

four years later, i have graduated from cedar on the 15th october 2005 as a woman of substance and character. here, i would like to thank all who had helped me and guided me along this four long years. TOday, i have become an ex cedarian. With the theme EXPLOSIVE tears naturally fell from our eyes uncontrollably as we dedicateda special item to all parents and teachers present. we sang a song of appreciation and it is as follow:

29th get back so many papers lehs! and it's wanru's birthday. hope all good good. den nobody will have bad mood that day. WHEEE. happy daY? hurhur. aiya that day see first ba. oh and like i say from next week onwards we'll be dismissed a period earlier at 12.45 rather than 1.35! wheee.
